Artist Doll & Teddy Bear Convention

Convention Event: Thursday 4:30p.m. to Saturday 8:30p.m.


  • Registration fee ($195) includes all activities, five (5) buffet meals, all day refreshments, open bar all three (3) nights, new and old doll and teddy bear magazines, collectable artist pins, Armella Dana commemoration souvenir
  • Socialize with 130 of the leading doll and teddy bear artists – get their autographs and take photos
  • Three (3) free rare collectable pins honoring leading artists (only available at the convention)
  • Professional photographer service available to collectors and artists (nominal fee)

Thursday, April 12

  • Fifteen (15) workshops conducted by many of the country’s leading doll and teddy bear artists
  • Boot Camp Indoctrination for First-Time Attendees session – “newbies” are briefed on all convention activities
  • Refreshments all day and free magazines (new and old) for convention attendees
  • Attendee Judging for 2018 Helen Bullard Artist Doll Awards and Beverly Port Artist Teddy Bear Awards  
  • Sale of Signed and Certified One-of-a-Kind Artist Dolls and Teddy Bears with an open bar

Friday, April 13

  • Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner provided
  • Three (3) tracks of presentations, demos, and peer discussions for collectors and artists
  • Initial release, sale and signing of renowned doll artist Jack Johnston’s latest book entitled Professional
    Doll Making – 25 Key Steps to Building a Successful Business
  • Six (6) special galleries of signed, one-of-a-kind artist dolls and teddy bears on exhibit and for sale:
    - Part-Doll, Part-Bear Figures
    - Creations Good Enough to Exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art
    - Fashions from Your Favorite Period of Time
    - Greatest Moments in History
    - Science Fiction Characters
    - Famous American Women and Men
  • Market Place for artists and collectors to buy and sell doll and bear supplies, do-dads & silly things
  • Discount Coupon Raffle to win coupons to buy any piece from your favorite artists at a discount
  • Good Bears of the World General Membership Annual Meeting (nonmembers are invited)
  • One-on-one mentoring of new artists by leading and renowned doll and bear artists
  • Two (2) hours of early admission to the Artist Doll & Teddy Bear Show & Sale with an open bar

Saturday, April 14

  • Buffet breakfast and dinner provided
  • Refreshments all day, free magazines (new and old), and over sixty (60) door prizes (for the public)
  • Largest Artist Doll & Teddy Bear Sale with 130 participating artists – all original handmade creations
  • Good Bears of the World Charity Silent Auction for children going through traumatic experiences
  • Good Bears of the World gifting boxes of teddy bears to the local Police or Fire Department
  • Professional Doll Makers Art Guild Award Ceremony with an open bar
  • Banquet with Beverly Port & Helen Bullard Award Ceremony and slides of award winning dolls & bears
